Job Description:

Multy Lift are looking for a well organised, clean Paint Prepper & Paint Sprayer to join our workshops. This role involves preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking to ensure a high-quality finish. The ideal candidate will have experience in surface preparation and a strong understanding of industrial painting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect surfaces for contamination, damage, or imperfections.
  • Required to remove wheels and panels from forklift trucks and attachments
  • Clean and degrease surfaces to be painted.
  • Scrape and sand surfaces to remove imperfections.
  • Fill cracks, dents, or other damaged panels, with appropriate filling material.
  • Mask and protect areas that should not be painted.
  • Spray all required areas of the forklifts & attachments.
  • Re-assemble panels, wheels. battery etc.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
  • Assist engineers by preparing paints, cleaning brushes and rollers, and organizing supplies.
  • Store paint & all other materials properly to ensure they remain in good condition.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to minimize risk of injury and property damage.

 

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Paint Prepper or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of different surface preparation techniques and using 2 pack paint.
  • Ability to use sanding, masking, and priming tools effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Good understanding of safe working regulations in a workplace & spray booth and how to use the clean air system and heating controls, compressors & air guns.
  • Good time keeping, focused and able to work on your own and to a timeframe.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
  • In addition to painting you will be required to carry other simple mechanical tasks such as changing tyres and steam cleaning machines. Training will be given, however a basic mechanical knowledge would be preferred

 

Working Hours

The working hours for this position are 40 hours per week, from 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, Excluding Bank Holidays, with a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon and half an hour for lunch. We do occasionally require working on a Saturday and this is paid double time.

We are actively seeking to appoint a self-motivated & confident tele sales/sales admin person to increase our success in the field. This is role is a phone-based sales role where you will be responsible for developing quality leads for the sales department across all kinds of industry within the Midlands. Continuous support will be provided, allowing you to maximise your earning potential and build a long term career within the Multy Lift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Making outbound sales calls to businesses across the UK
  • Promoting advertising opportunities within specialist publications
  • Following up warm leads and existing customers to secure repeat business
  • Managing your own sales pipeline and working towards monthly revenue targets
  • Accurately recording client activity and bookings on internal systems

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven telesales or sales/customer service experience in the B2B market, with a track record of meeting targets.
  • Proactively make outbound calls to meet and exceed sales and activity targets.
  • Identify, develop, and manage a robust sales pipeline using our CRM system.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strong relationship-building skills, with prospective customers and key personnel, whilst delivering exceptional customer service at every stage of the process.
  • Resilient, driven, and able to work independently.
  • Direct relevant prospects to our sales team.
  • Strong commercial acumen and IT proficiency.
  • Use social media (e.g., LinkedIn) and industry news to identify new opportunities.
